The search for the spot.
Over the summer my friend Eric and I decided to go searching for a spot to watch the sunset, talk about the fragility of life and to appreciate the simple things in life we often don't take time to be thankful for. The place we were looking for only existed in our minds, but we were still determined to find it.
The idea to find this spot was conceived by both of us. The idea dawned on us while we where sitting on my porch looking into the woods and talking about nature.
"I'm sick of the same day-to-day routine we need a change", said Eric. I responded by saying;
" we need somewhere new but where it seems like we have been everywhere around and seen it all". I replied.
Hi Tyler:
ReplyDeleteYou have a great beginning--a problem or goal, a couple of characters, and some conversation.
You might think about why you're drawn to nature, and perhaps why other writers have been in the past. You might Google Walt Whitman and fancy it up with some quotes.
Then again you might look at the theme of "friendship." Most of us make friends and lose friends as we go through life. If they don't stay with us forever, what of them continues to exist in our lives?
Just some deep thoughts to keep you going.
